Classical guitars
Classical guitars with nylon strings, built for the repertoire that runs from Renaissance lute transcriptions to contemporary Latin American music. Our range covers student instruments with solid tops through to concert guitars built by hand in small Spanish and European workshops.
The choice that matters most here is the top wood. Cedar responds immediately and suits fingerstyle playing and expressive dynamics. Spruce starts out more reserved, opens up over months of playing, and keeps its definition when driven hard. Neither is better — it depends on how you play and what you are willing to wait for.
