The GDR-200 pairs a solid German spruce top with solid mahogany back and sides chosen for their figure — a patterned grain that gives the guitar a distinctive look in addition to its tonal character. Spruce needs time to open but rewards it with a strong, defined fundamental and good headroom when played hard, while mahogany keeps the voice focused in the midrange.
The neck is solid mahogany, the fingerboard and bridge solid Indian rosewood, and the headstock is faced in rosewood as well. Tuners are gold. According to the manufacturer, A.
