Description
The SW-90 carries our own name, and it is built around a pairing we chose deliberately: solid cedar over solid rosewood rather than the solid cedar and mahogany combination that dominates this part of the market.
Cedar gives the immediate, open response players expect from a top that needs no break-in period. Rosewood on the back and sides is denser than mahogany and adds a longer decay and a richer set of overtones underneath each note — the guitar sustains more and colours the sound more than a mahogany-backed equivalent, at the cost of slightly less separation in fast passages. The neck is mahogany, the fingerboard and bridge solid rosewood, and the tuners gold.
Suited to a player who wants a fuller, more resonant voice than the standard cedar-and-mahogany pairing, particularly in solo repertoire where sustain and colour matter more than rapid articulation.
