Maple is not the first wood most players associate with a classical guitar, and that is exactly what makes the La Mancha Cristal worth a closer look. In place of the usual rosewood or mahogany, the back and sides are solid flamed maple — a choice that pushes the voice toward brightness and clarity rather than warmth and weight.

The top is A-grade Swiss spruce, selected for tight, even grain. Paired with maple, the result is a guitar that speaks quickly and stays articulate through fast passages, with less of the low-end bloom that rosewood tends to add. It is a combination built for definition — every note in a chord stays audible rather than blending into the one before it.

Construction follows traditional Spanish practice: a cedro neck joined to the body with a Spanish heel, bone nut and double-hole saddle, and a rosewood fingerboard and bridge. The 650 mm scale and 5.2 cm nut width are standard concert dimensions. The guitar ships strung with Savarez Cantiga Mixed Tension Alliance strings and finished in a natural or dark-stained high gloss, with premium antique-finish tuners and black buttons.
