Description
The Basjann F-500 follows the specification that defines most well-built classical guitars at this level — solid cedar over solid mahogany — without adding anything unusual to justify the description. That is not a criticism. Cedar and mahogany is the pairing it is because it works: an open, immediate top backed by wood that keeps the tone centred rather than boomy.
The neck is mahogany, the fingerboard rosewood, and the tuners gold-plated. We have not found independent documentation of Basjann as a manufacturer beyond its own materials, so the description above should be read as consistent with the manufacturer’s specification rather than independently verified against a wider catalogue.
A sound choice for a student who wants a dependable, traditionally specified instrument without paying for decorative extras.
